Black Guillemot (Cepphus grylle) Science Article 3
abstract
A research done by the Food and Environmental Agency had shown a significant reduction of PCBin Black guillemot eggs during the period of 1999 to 2001. This brought up the question weatherthere is a reduction of PCB in the environment, or Black guillemot has changed diet. Twoapproaches were used; Stable Isotope Analysis (done by a Canadian Laboratory), and StomachContent Analysis.
