Physical charateristics

Forecrown is orange-yellow; crown, back, wings and tail blackish. Throat and sides of face blackish, the breast yellow downwards shading to tawny. Female very similar to female Violaceous Euphonia but slightly smaller with more slender bill. Bill and legs black.

South America : Venezuela, Guianas

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
