abstract
An International Corncrake Monitoring Scheme is suggested in order to follow the populationtrend of Corncrakes affected by large-scale changes in land-use in Central and EasternEuropean Countries. A low cost and relatively low effort monitoring method is described inthis paper. Corncrake experts in all breeding range countries are asked to support the project,co-ordinated by the International Corncrake Conservation Team (www.corncrake.net).
